2012

Is the world really going to end on 2012 or is it a bunch of crazy people running that will believe anything. There are not much scientific facts that can prove that the Earth is coming to its demise. The people that believe in 2012 has they know its coming because on the Mayan calendar that’s when they say the end of the world is. They also say they can tell because of the global warming. They think global warming is going to get so bad that there will be hail falling from the sky, all the volcanoes will blow up, and the icecaps with melt and everything will be under water. I think the people that believe this are just really gullible.

  1. To some extent I believe that at one point in life the world is going to come to an end. However, I do not believe that it will be happening anytime soon. Everyone is talking all this nonsense about the world ending in 2012. Just because the Mayan Calendar said so, doesn’t mean that it’s a true story. We had a similar scare like this in 2000 when they said everything was coming to an end. Now look at us 12 years later…

  2. This is all nonsense. This is a lot like the whole "The world will end on 6/6/06" thing put without religion being involved in this, The myians calendar ends and repeats after 2012. So I guess the world is gonna restart...It's all nonsense. There have been tons of moments in the past where people predicted the world to happen but everybody is still alive and well. It definitely will be strange around the time of December 21, 2012, but I'm not worried. Not at all. It's just a random b.s. prediction brought up by the Myians that spread and got insecure and sometimes even foolish people to believe it.

  3. To be honest I think some of it is true most of its fiction. Mayans predicting the world would end is def not a fact because that civilization I long and never coming back. So following the world is going to end 2012 train is basically dumb. On one side of it thought went the weird weather lately I can get a nice grasp that the world might end. Its april and its cold outside.

  4. I agree with you. People just get to hyped over stupid things. I have a prediction, the only reason the Mayans say the world is going to end is because they vanished and couldn't finish the calender. I remember when 2000 came around and people thought the world was over. I don't know people today are to gullible.

  6. I'm pretty sure every time that there have been predictions of the world ending, it hasn't. Why should this time be any different? 2012 is such a random year that it seems highly improbable that it is an accurate prediction. The Y2K scare made a little bit more sense because we were getting into a new millenium, but I think this is one is bogus. We're obviously way more technological than the Myans were. We all should live like the end of the world is around the corner anyway.

  7. I think all the 2012 stuff is just ridiculous. It is just an ancient civilization's calendar resetting itself. It is basically the same rumors that were happening in 2000, but we are still here today. Plus, if the world really does come to an end we would not know it anyway so there is really nothing to worry about.

  9. I can't believe they made a movie about this. It's just so out there, that a date is our fate right now. Yeah right, come on December 21, 2012 is when the world is gonna end ? Whats so special about that day ? The world could end any day, but according to someone its a specific date, which I think is nonsense.

  10. I for one do not belive that the world is going to end. As we all know the mayan race dissapeared long ago. No one could find any traces or where they went or anything of the sort. Therefore how can we even say that their calender was even near finished. People always assume things without having solid evidence. I do however believe that in the far future the earth will die off but I highly believe that it's not going to happen anytime soon.

  11. To start things off the world better not end in 2012 because that is only going to make me and most of us around 20-21 years of age and I know I want to live way longer than that. Secondly, this Mayan calender seems like a whole bunch of nonsense to me, the mayan race during the period of time they existed where probably really bored and didnt have much to do. So in order to leave behind something special and rememberable and to give them something to do they created this calender that on the year 2012 they randomly think the world is going to end and all that. Global warming in my opionion has nothing to do with the world ending in 2012.

  12. Quite frankly, I don't believe the world is going to end. Could it? Possibly. Do I care? Of coarse, just because I have so much I want to do in life(although I'm not really worried about the after life). This worlds-going-to-end deal comes down to three major things. For one, the Bible describes in Revelations signs of the end, which every time there's a couple of disasters or a influential leader someone doesn't agree with (Obama, Hitler, etc.) suddenly the world’s ending. Then there’s the Mayan calendar which will soon come to full circle. Many people thinks this will lead to catastrophic melt down, but there is no real hint of this in Mayan “literature”. And of coarse,…Nodradomus(SP?): the most misunderstood man in history. All of his statements are broad, but everyone believes he was talking about the year 2012.

  13. It's a bluff. What was supposed to happen in the year 2000? We survived and we shall survive again. They were bored and they had nothing to do. SO they said let's color in a calneder and make a random death date in which we will not exist.

  14. Who knows? Probably not... people like drama and this is just another way to fulfill it. If the world ends no one will know it anyway and if it doesn't then the concern was a waste of time so i say forget about it and worry about today instead.

  15. I thinks its just a thought that we blew up because we were bored and knew it would get the media rolling. If it happens then ill believe but how do we really know if the world is going to end in 2012. We dont and im not going to live my life acting like it is. The movie 2012 makes it seem like a joke anyway..

  16. I don't know but I think that year will be different but not the end. Besides the weather acting strange and stuff I think they just want to put a special date in the future like the year 2000. But I don't think people believing it is a bad thing because then they might actually start living life to the fullest instead of doing nothing and letting time pass them by.

  17. This 2012 thing is just another bogus prophecy like 2000. They say that the world is going to end because the Mayan calender ends on that day, but every calender has an end, it's December 31, but I'm pretty sure we survive that every year.
