Kids and Their Video Games

Why is it every time somebody gets in trouble they blame the video games the kids are playing? Sure some games are violent but thats not the companies fault. The games they are producing are rated for a reason. Games rated M are for kids that are 17+. If these kids are playing the games, where are the parents? Ten year olds shouldn't be playing these games. The parents should get on them about this. There is no reason for the parents and kids to blame the game company. The stores also need to become more aware in order to stop the kids from getting in trouble with games. The parents also need to become more aware when their children get new games. I don't know, it just seems like every time a new Grand Theft Auto comes out, the game producers (Rockstar), get in trouble.

  1. People just find any reason they can to sue to get "compensation", for things that they probably caused themselves from bad parenting. I don't think banning video games (like the Hilary Clinton rumor) would be right either. Parents need to get their acts together and spend some time with their delinquent children and read them freakin' book instead of letting them virtually kill hookers.

  2. I agree, it seems that whenever I play on Xbox Live there is at least 10 little kids playing, and whenever this happens no one takes pity on these kids just because they're young. This is how the people who go out to get video games banned should approach the situation. It's true they shouldn't be playing the game, but someone in their household apparently doesn't mind them playing it either.

  3. I agree they put the mature ratings on games for a reason. Little kids don't understand what they are playing is what your actually not supposed to do in real life. The ratings are just a suggestion though for the parents if the parents do not care that there children play these violent games it is fine. However, they better not blame the video games for violent behavior in their children because in the end it is the parents' fault for buying them the game in the first place.
