Home Sweet Home

The United States has a military base in Kyrgyzstan that happens to be located in central Asia where our war is now taking place. This military base is a key supply link for the U.S. and NATO forces in the Afghanistan war. Recently, there has been clashes going on there and people have been wounded and killed. Surprisingly, my female cousin who joined the Air Force a few years ago is in Kyrgyzstan while all of this nonsense is going on. She has been scheduled to be there for five months. However, I feel that since she has agreed to be there, she should also have the right to choose when she wants to go home. Do you feel as if a soldier or any person involved in war should at some point have a say in when they can report home to their friends and family?

  1. Well you sign a contract and agree to put your life on the line to get your job done so until your time is completed i think you should have to stay there. That is what you are signing up for when you enlist for any kind of military branch. The military has it benefits but has its risks too so if you join the military for the benefits but not accepting the risks then you joined for the wrong reasons. Im planning on going active duty in the army so I understand that its possible I may die or get wounded but I have accepted that risk and will serve my full time.
